Because it\u2019s an island in the Indian Ocean, La Reunion Island is the host of numerous world-class beaches that you only see in your dreams. To recommend one of the more scenic waterfalls to check out, note \u201cBassin Des Aigrettes\u201d. It\u2019s jaw-dropping, to say the least.<\/div>\n

You read that right. A popular tourist destination and a must-do in my books are visiting the 600,000-litre aquarium in Port De Saint-Gilles. Packed with more than 500 members of marine life, the Reunion aquarium is simply gorgeous. If you have kids, this will likely be their favourite part!<\/div>\n

Hiking a Volcano<\/h4>\n

Again, yes, you read that right. Reunion Island is home to numerous volcanoes, one being Piton De Fournaise. So when you\u2019re packing for a trip of a lifetime, be sure to pack your hiking shoes! Important note: Don\u2019t make the mistake that I did – dress appropriately. Because it\u2019s a volcano, temperatures shift drastically the higher your go.<\/div>\n

Another hiking destination to check out is Le Maido, located on the island’s north end. Stunning is an understatement. If this isn\u2019t enough, seek out Reunion’s highest peak-Piton Des Neiges. With 360 degrees, panoramic views, you\u2019ll be glad you made the trek.<\/div>\n

Canyoning is a popular tourist activity in Reunion, though it\u2019s quite the challenge. However, if you\u2019re an adventurer and extremist, this activity might just be for you!
