When you’re walking around Athens, you will of course have plenty of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine options. Sometimes, however, you want something different, something that may be your comfort food when you are home. If this is how you’re feeling and you’re wondering where to eat in Athens, you have to come for a meal at the Naan Stop! Inspired by and for travellers with a passion for different cultures, it’s not just Indian food on the menu. You will see a menu full of so many culinary masterpieces made with fresh and colourful ingredients that all resemble homemade and comfort food dishes.

The menu at Naan Stop is no thrills, letting the Indian flavours speak for themselves. Chef Ramu wanted to bring traditional Indian foods to Europe and showcase how to do these meals correctly. Fresh, spicy, and of course tasty, everything is prepared and cooked in-house. The a la carte menu is a curated listing of unique but traditional Indian classics and some regional favourites that have been passed down for generations. Always a work in progress, the menu evolves as the visitors who come by do, so can try a new and perfected meal every time you come to Naan Stop.

Wondering where to eat in Athens that’s vegan or vegetarian? All of the curry dishes are vegetarian, or you can add meat to them. Try the Makhni Curry, with a tomato butter cream sauce with rice and a side salad. Or if you want a purely vegetarian meal, there is a whole section of the menu with delicious meals, such as the Tadka Daal, made of creamy yellow lentils and aromatic spices. Enjoy your meal with a traditional Indian juice drink—Lassi, flavoured with mangos, strawberries, or stick to the tried and tested plain either sweet or salted.

The Restaurant
